Prominence of Aeons - Story

Monsters cover the land. The slowly receding mass of humanity becomes increasingly desperate to stave off the repeated assault of these bestial hordes, who suddenly are attacking in an organized manner with devastating effect. If remained unchecked, people fear that humanity will be completely overrun and eradicated from the face of Idavoll.

The Elder of the city of Volsung in the kingdom of Burnough places a task upon a group of individuals to disperse the power of the Dread Amethyst, a crystal believed to be fueling this systematized aggression. This undertaking involves three magical gems of immense power separated to holy places to lock the power of the amethyst. The planet itself will suffer from the mere presence of the power of this terrible crystal, but any other course of action will lead to complete annihilation.

But as the fate of the world rests with these young warriors, a dark corruption lies within their group. This variable, unforeseen by both time and fate, may change the destiny of not only Idavoll, but of Iravelon itself.

This story and Age of Shadows are both branches off from the events at the end of Echoes of Influence.
